How to control how much the AI does on its own (autonomy)

Autonomy settings decide, task by task, whether the AI acts on its own or waits for your approval.

Steps

1. Go to Settings → Automation.
2. For each task — replying to leads, sending quotes, booking jobs, invoice follow-ups — pick a mode:
   • Auto — the AI acts and logs what it did.
   • Suggest — the AI drafts, you approve with one click.
   • Off — the AI stays out; you handle it manually.
3. Save — changes apply immediately.

How it works

Autonomy works alongside your policies: even in Auto mode the AI still obeys every active policy and escalates anything a policy doesn't cover. Every AI action is stamped with a "handled by AI" badge so you can always audit what it did.

Tips

• A common path: start everything in Suggest, then flip tasks to Auto one at a time as you build trust.
• Quoting preset-priced services is the safest task to automate first.
